Where the Road Ends…Your Story Begins.
"Every season, riders from all walks of life gather where river roads melt into endless gravel — to push their limits, meet kindred spirits, and discover something new about themselves."
Chapter 1 — Hell of the Wind
Are you ready? Maybe not—and that’s okay. Just like in life, the first step toward anything meaningful is simply showing up.

The Big River Gravel Series begins with Hell of the Wind, and it lives up to its name. The conditions can swing from feast to famine in a heartbeat. Across exposed, rolling hills, you’ll be tested—not just physically, but mentally. It’s a course that demands grit, resilience, and the willingness to work together when the wind starts to bite.

Chapter 2 — 1904
The days are stretching longer, the sun is shining stronger, and the world is coming back to life. But as the season shifts, so does the challenge.
Chapter 2 of the Big River Gravel Series throws a curveball. A new venue brings fresh roads and fast, rolling gravel, with a true 50/50 mix of pavement and dirt. The elevation eases up—but don’t mistake that for easy.
Success here won’t just be about strength. It will hinge on strategy, patience, and finding the right group to roll with—working together all the way to the finish line.

Chapter 3 — Burning Quad
We’re in the heart of summer now—long days, relentless sun, and heat that lingers well into the evening.
Road + Gravel = Groad. And this event stands in a league of its own.
The course weaves together tarmac and chip seal with punchy gravel and dirt sectors, demanding both speed and skill. If Mother Nature plays nice, riders will rip through a motocross track, and those tackling the Mississippi distance will flow through a full mile of singletrack—fast, fun, and just technical enough to keep you honest.
Rock Island County serves up quick, hard-packed gravel built for speed. But as Mississippi riders push north into Whiteside County, the terrain turns rougher, with chunky stretches that will test both legs and equipment.
For this one, tire choice isn’t just important—it’s everything.

Chapter 4 — Turkey Burner
The final chapter. The last dance of the 2026 gravel season.
There’s a chill creeping back into the air. The days are shorter, the colors deeper, and fall has fully arrived. But that doesn’t phase you. You’ve spent an entire season building strength, resilience, and grit. You’re ready for one more honest effort before closing the book on 2026.
The routes roll relentlessly, with dirt road sectors appearing just often enough to keep you sharp and engaged. Every mile feels earned. Then, back in camp, the route dives into the woods—a twisting, turning roller coaster that tests your focus and fitness.
And just when your legs are begging for mercy, there it is: one final climb. One last push. A fitting crescendo to a season’s worth of work before you cross the line and take your well-earned bow.

OUR WHY
Our mission is to push our limits through demanding challenges while championing mental health and building a united, resilient community.
Deeper than that, our WHY is simple: to help every participant become mentally and physically stronger while building a true community.

In 1994, I lost my dad, Glen, to suicide. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. No one would have guessed he was struggling with his mental health until it was too late.

After losing him, I struggled to find where I belonged. Everything changed when my Mom introduced me to BMX racing — and I found my community.

Fast forward more than twenty years, and riding bikes has become a huge part of my life. Cycling is my therapy. It centers me. When you’re riding hard, the suffering you endure on a bike builds resilience that carries into the rest of your life. The rhythm of cycling can feel like meditation — a way to quiet the noise and reconnect with yourself.

My hope is that this series helps you become mentally and physically stronger, while creating a community that lifts each other up and welcomes everyone.
